Nidhi Oberoi

Nidhi Oberoi holds a B.A. from University of Delhi; India and her major was in English Literature. She received her AMS ECE credential in 2004 from MEIPN and has been at WEM ever since.

Her passion is to be able to nurture each child’s potential to their true ability and to provide a haven where it all comes true. She spent 15 years in the classroom as a lead teacher and loved being able to share her knowledge with the parents and to teach the kids on an emotional, social and academic level Nidhi moved into the role of the Program Director in 2016 and mentored teachers in areas such as classroom management, parent communications and child development and behavior management. In 2019, Nidhi became a School Director of WEM and loves being able to support the WEM community from her new role.

Nidhi’s purpose in life to help bring about positive changes in the lives of children, whether it be here at WEM or at nonprofit organizations such as AIM for Seva in India. The organization’s primary focus is to make education and healthcare accessible to children in rural areas in India. She is a big supporter of YMCA and the CRY foundations as well.

She loves spending her time with her 2 boys, her husband and her cute little cat Jasmine. Her very favorite thing to do is read, whether it be fiction or nonfiction. She enjoys dancing, listening to loud music while driving, hiking and solving the New York Times crosswords.
