Please note that WEM cannot hold your space without tuition payment at the beginning of each school year if your child is not fully potty trained and ready for school.  Our rhyming rule of thumb for readiness is as follows;  no spitters or hitters, fighters or biters, and nappers or crappers!

Early Childhood Program

Preschool & Kindergarten

The Age of the Absorbent Mind
  • 12:1 Student Teacher Ratio
  • Maximum Class Size of 24 Students
  • Two Teachers Per Classroom
  • All Programs are 5-Days/Week
  • AM, PM, Full and Extended Day Options

The Montessori Early Childhood classroom focuses on assisting each child become an individual while building a strong cognitive foundation.  Children in the Early Childhood classrooms are learning to think for themselves, are becoming intrinsically motivated and are learning to self-regulate their emotions toward social harmony.

Elementary Program

Lower Elementary (ages 6-9) & Upper Elementary (ages 9-12)

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that secondary education should focus far more than it has historically in public schools on meeting the individual needs and characteristics of you adolescents by providing them the physical environment, and a healthy community based experience to greater insure success within their generation.

Activity Club

All ages

The WEM after school ACTIVITY CLUB is an integral part of all WEM academic programs, and picks up where class ends as another available Montessori work cycle for all children.  In addition to the importance and choice of outdoor play, activity club for the continued processing of the students’ work day thoughts and classroom discoveries.  While there is a greater freedom to choose activities i.e. less structure than class time, there is more structure than just “free play” for students who elect to engage.

S.T.E.M.  +  ART  =  S.T.E.A.M

The WEM after school Activity Club is filled with S.T.E.M. activities for the children to choose from.  Some of these materials include:
